I grew up in a small town in south eastern Ohio. Here, I was surrounded by many animals on farms, as well as kittens that would show up on my porch. My passion has always remained with animals, even from a young age. That opportunity was given to me early on and I grabbed it. I am currently attending school full time at The Ohio State University to get my degree in Animal Science and then move up to Veterinary School.
I was able to start at this job at a young age and have the opportunity to grow and learn about animals. Caring for animals comes in many forms at a clinic. From bottle feeding kittens to helping a patient in critical condition, the job never runs short of things to learn about and do.
Food service serves as an important way to develop communication and customer service skills. Working here for my first job helped me excel in these traits. Here, I would make food such as pizza, ice cream, pastas, and many more. I checked out customers and helped seat tables. With this, I got dish duty.
