• Shared Governance, St. John’s Hospital, March 2022 to present. Assist and work together with other critical care nurses to brainstorm and plan ideas for issues throughout the units and hospital. Implement and assess any changes that are prevalent in the critical care department.
• Preceptor, St. John’s Hospital, January 2022- Present. Assist and help train new oncoming nurses. I was chosen to help train and percept a new grad nurse while they were transitioning to nights and the critical care environment. I’m currently teaching and training an intern who is in nursing school deciding which career and unit she would like to join.
• Peer Tutor, Lincoln Land Community College January 2018 to May 2019 Assisted students in understanding and succeeding academic information. Coordinated many peer tutoring and study sessions for large groups of students. Classes I tutored in were: Chemistry 1 and 2, Biology, Western Civilization, Medical Terminology, Anatomy 1 and 2, Intro to Psychology, Sociology, Human Development and Abnormal psychology.
• Peer Assistant, LLCC, January 2018 to May 2019. Assisted students with physical and cognitive disabilities in their classrooms. Increased the student’s abilities to participate in class. Took notes for the student. One student was blind, and needed help participating in the lab. Communicated with descriptive and detailed words as to what I was seeing.
• Coffee Shop Employee, Daily Brew, May 2017 to Present. Work at Daily Brew during summer and some weekends at counter taking orders, making beverages and taking money. I got some great experience helping people and working with difficult customers. Gained some customer service experience.
• Online Cupcake Business, Just Be Hoppe Cupcakes, 2018-Present. It is my own company to sell cupcakes. I do this on Facebook or word of mouth. I really love to bake and try to do it as much as possible.
• Summer Help, Archer Daniels Midland, May 2017 to August 2017. I worked as a summer help employee. I learned about safety and also cleaned around the plant. It was very difficult work, but I learned a lot. I gained an appreciation for hard work.
