Rachel J. KIM

Psychology major with a Management minor at the University of California, Irvine. Passionate about the business side of the entertainment industry, with experience in marketing, event coordination, and leadership through cultural and social organizations. Brings a unique mix of behavioral insight, creative thinking, and organizational skills to roles in media strategy, brand partnerships, or talent management.

• Key Club (2019-2023): Helped organize blood drives and the annual teacher appreciation dinner by collaborating with fellow members. Facilitated and assisted in the making of over 300+ holiday cards for local children’s hospitals as part of club’s charitable efforts
• Pelican Mission Team (2018-2022): Assisted senior living staff at local elderly homes by cooking/serving meals and organizing events. Supported elder pastors with multiple home projects, such as cleaning out their backyards and pulling out weeds

Sigma Omicron Pi (2024-Present)

• Led recruitment efforts as Rush Chair, successfully welcoming nine new members.
• Managed alumni communications and engagement as Alumni Chair, coordinating events and strengthening the organization’s post-graduate network
• Coordinated co-hosted events with other campus organizations as VP External, including a bone marrow drive that recruited 25 donors
• Served as Secretary, overseeing internal communication, sending announcements and updates, and maintaining attendance records and organizational documents for 18 members

Vietnamese Student Association (Staff Fall 2023 – Present): 

• Assisted in planning and executing cultural events, including the Rose Pageant and VCN, which attracted 300+ attendees
• Mentor to a cohort of 60 freshman students, organizing regular check-ins and community-building events such as bonfires, holiday gatherings, and study sessions
