Highlights and Accomplishments:

  • Trip Experience: Cultivated relationships with hundreds of Chicagoland Jewish and multi-heritage couples during the HMI application process. Oversaw the selection process for trip experiences. Planned and implemented pre and post trip community building opportunities. Created and implemented initiatives to increase a sense of welcoming and comfort during 10 day trip experience.
  • Experiential Education: Remade four educational opportunities during the HMI trip to increase Jewish learning and implement theory to practice activities through Kolb's Theory of Experiential Learning. Create and implemented various environmental and programmatic opportunities during the trip experience and in post trip engagements. Created various crisis management responses.
  • Local Post-Trip Engagement: Deepened and maintained relationships with trip alumni and participants to assist them in engaging with each other and the broader Chicago Jewish community. Built trust and developed deep relationships with tour educators, Rabbis and Jewish Educators, and community partners to increase the participant experience and increase the inclusion of Jewish values and education in programming. Utilized post trip analysis data to increase alumni engagement directly influenced future initiatives.

  • Residential Curriculum Implementation: Oversaw the campus wide development, implementation and evaluation of Residential Curriculum model which focused on personal growth and community development. Amended the model for upcoming years based on assessment and feedback. Increased religious and identity based awareness which positively impacted participant engagement.   • Logistical Support: Created and maintained building processes to ensure health and safety of the students residing in the building. Tasks included: Updating move in processes for move in and move out for 800 students and families, conducting health and safety inspections, ensuring safe practices for storing spare keys, and maintaining overall building safety.
  • Professional Training Development Committee: Created, implemented, and assessed the training for full time staff members aligned with the mission and vision to ensure success in the upcoming year.
  • Crisis Response: Navigated various acute and chronic student and staff crisis scenarios. These included logistical crises (i.e. fires and floods) and socio-emotional crises (inter and intrapersonal). Responded to emergencies in a professional manner and completed follow up and continued relationship building as needed.
