Highly coachable STEM/Science educator with an MS in Education and seven years of education experience seeking to transition to Higher Education Academic Advising. Well positioned to support holistic student success as recognized by both my accomplishments and work history with a diverse population of students in the Greater Nashville area. My passion for helping others combined with my own continued professional development pursuits in business and project management make me an asset to your team.
Created lesson plans and taught many different class sizes from small group (3-4) to large group (25-30) as well as behaviorally challenged students and students with learning disabilities.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I was responsible for coordinating the following:
- The Watertown Community was invited to join in STEM night and learn all about STEM and different careers and activities that are related to STEM.
- Students completed experiments on many different topics including learning about moon phases using different materials which sparked interest in many students to learn more about space.
- Students expressed that they felt comfortable to give input and share their thoughts without being judged.
