Volunteer Internship Experience
During my internship as a veterinary assistant at Torrey Pines Animal Hospital in June 2023, I gained valuable experience in filling prescription medication, caring for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering vaccines, and bandaging. I also assisted in restraining animals and logging/updating medical records of patients. In addition, I learned how to wrap surgical wraps for surgeries and dental procedures. It was a challenging and rewarding experience that solidified my passion for animal care.
