I am a highly motivated student pursuing a career in healthcare sciences with a May ’24 start. Equipped with a strong educational background, a proven track record of hard work, and a growing list of accomplishments, I am eager to contribute my knowledge and skills in drug development and neurodegenerative diseases.
This immersive program gave me the opportunity to shadow pediatric pulmonologists during outpatient care and learn from doctors at Boston Children's Hospital during weekly lectures. My team and I led an advocacy project to help children better understand respiratory and environmental health, we created a comic book intended for children to read online.
During this time, I cared for patients in the Pediatric Department and Seizure Diagnostic Center, while assisting nurses and doctors throughout the day. I also assisted with clerical duties on the floor desk.
I worked closely with a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to help design and create obstacle courses and games geared towards improving patients' gross and fine motor skills. I shadowed a therapist as she used therapeutic interventions to help young children develop and improve their sensory processing and social skills.
This is one of the most important positions on the senior leadership team. As Head of Recruitment for 2023, I architected the entire strategy and campaign for Pi Beta Phi's recruitment. I enlisted and organized volunteers, ran weekly training sessions over the course of a year, and produced live events. As a direct result of my efforts, we were able to exceed our recruitment goals by 20%.
As a key member of the risk team for Pi Beta Phi, it is my responsibility to educate and mentor younger members on issues related to personal safety and chapter compliance.
