Update responders with new information as well as research background and criminal history of involved parties and addresses.
Enter warrants, missing persons, stolen vehicles, protective orders and other reports into state and national criminal databases.
Coordinate with other emergency and utility organizations to provide services and reduce hazards during critical incidents such as house fires, motor vehicle accidents, and gas leaks.
When appropriate, direct citizens to non police resources including, but not limited to, town hall, civil and criminal court, animal control, 211, Department of Children and Families, and various mental health programs.
Maintain diligent records of citizen contact, report entry, call logs, and unit activity.
Broadcast pertinent criminal and public safety information to other towns, as well as receive broadcasts from surrounding agencies and disseminate to local personnel.
Operate at minimum ten unique programs at once on six to eight different computer monitors, depending on assigned position.
Train new employees on various positions and programs, write daily observation reports and give feedback on training progress.
Participate in peer support program that offers support and services to employees regarding a wide variety of issues.
