Domestic volence and Sexual assault expierence

  • During my career, I have built a strong relationship with the District Attorney’s office regarding prosecuting domestic violence and sexual assault cases. I have created and conducted training with patrol officers at the Davidson Police Department and outside agencies to teach them about a variety of domestic violence topics, including strangulation, stalking, understanding domestic violence victims, sexual assaults, and teen dating violence. I assisted the Huntersville Police Department Domestic Violence Detective with the implementation of a QR code for victims of domestic violence to simplify the amount of paperwork they receive. I have set up the new implementation of digital domestic violence lethality screening and trained officers on how to implement it in cases. I assisted with the creation of a trauma-informed, victim-centered interview room at the Davidson Police Department, so victims have a setting to feel comfortable when discussing traumatic events.
