I see myself in a helping profession due to my extensive customer service background and my current education path in the Master's of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program through Liberty University. I am driven by the desire to help others in need through providing mental health support. It is important to me to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills that will allow me to build relationships with those who I have the privilege of working with.
As a legal assistant I am tasked with opening new cases and working closely with the New York Police Department and District Attorneys in the New York City region. Our clients include many major banks in the United States. The firm specifically handles lien law that allows us to gain title of the vehicle that is being held for investigation or is being held by a DA. We work to secure the property that is rightfully our client’s by following along with the cases and demanding releases. We also submit documentation to DMV that proves our clients rights to the property, and we occasionally work to obtain a court order for title. My responsibilities also include calling police departments, District Attorney’s, and negotiating with various government departments.
My responsibilities include handling customer complaints regarding NYS operated or licensed facilities via phone, email, letter and referrals from the Justice Center. Customer Relations is the “front door” of the Office of Mental Health and handle an abundance of contacts from the general public regarding concerns they have about mental health treatment, as well as questions they may have that involve mental health. I also redirect callers to a variety of other agencies and departments based on their needs. During the month of August 2021, I personally accounted for 46% of our contacts (phone calls, emails, letters, referrals from the Justice Center, etc) which equates to almost 1,000 contacts for that month. I also serve as backup for safety checks which are sent from the Justice Center to ensure the immediate safety of clients at hospitals and facilities operated or licensed by OMH.
I am a Licensed Notary Public through the New York Department of State serving a four year term starting in 2023.
