  • Preformed Echocardiograms and Stress Echocardiograms on outpatients. Reviewed patient medical history, clinical findings, and indications for testing. Positioned patient in manner conducive to achieving optimum diagnostic results. Surveyed area being studied. Obtained preliminary sonographic information with respect to acoustical properties of patient and anatomical/pathological relationships.
  • Selected appropriate transducer angulation and gain setting to best demonstrate anatomy and/or pathology under examination. Operated equipment in M-mode, 2D, Pulse Wave, Continuous Wave and Color Doppler techniques .
  • Searched for cardiac pathology. Moved transducer over heart at varying angles to record chamber dimensions, cardiac wall thickness and motion, ejection fractions and ratios. Visualized various anatomical areas of heart by way of real time imaging. Evaluated direction and speed of intracardiac blood flow using Doppler. Assessed cardiac valves for pathology.
  • Created permanent record of significant functional and/or anatomical and pathological data obtained.
  • Reviewed, screened, and measured echocardiography data. Notified cardiologist of critical abnormalities when apparent. Compiled, records, and collated data for cardiologist interpretation and signature.
