Rachel Marie Ramirez

I took care of daily cleaning in the areas I was responsible for, making sure everything was kept neat and presentable. I helped customers with what they needed and made sure to asset them in a professional friendly manner. I also communicated with my coworkers, asking for help when I needed it and stepping in to help them whenever I could.

I was a paid intern during the summer of 2022, and my time with CAUSE taught me so much. I learned how to create and give presentations, communicate more confidently, and grow my overall professional skills. I also spent a lot of time speaking with community members, answering calls about real issues affecting Ventura like rent increases and concerns about the proposed nuclear plant on the Avenue. These experiences helped me understand the community’s needs on a deeper level and strengthened my ability to support others.
