I have been in multiple operations and held many positions within the security industry from government to 3rd party guard contractors. The last 10 years I have been involved in all aspects of Hospitality Security from regional and complex Security Manager to on property acting Director.

• Security Manager, Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Washington D.C., 12/01/23, Present, As the Security Manager at Waldorf Astoria, my role is to ensure the safety and security of our guests, team members, and facilities. I oversee all security operations, including promoting safe work practices, ensuring OSHA compliance, and managing safety incentive programs and classes. Additionally, I manage the use of security systems, handle lost and found items, and oversee budgeting and forecasting for the security department. I directly lead patrols of the interior and perimeter of the hotel and property, identifying potential safety and security risks as well as undesirable conditions. In the event of accidents, thefts, or unlawful activities, I take charge of investigations to ensure thorough and effective resolution. Emergency response is a critical aspect of my role, and I am responsible for leading our team in addressing safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life and property. Furthermore, I serve as the primary liaison with law enforcement at the federal, state, and local levels. Ensuring accurate reporting and documentation is another key responsibility, and I oversee the administration of all required reports. When interacting with guests, I prioritize timely, friendly, and efficient responses to inquiries and requests, maintaining a high standard of customer service. In managing our security team, I monitor and develop their performance by providing supervision, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and rewards. Additionally, I am involved in the recruitment, interviewing, and training of new team members to ensure our security staff is well-prepared to fulfill their roles effectively. Due to our close proximity to the White House & U.S. Capital. I am in daily contact with several security entities such as the U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Capitol Police, DHS, & Department of State with providing security measures while high level U.S. dignitaries are visiting the property, as well as foreign dignitaries and high net worth clients. I was the lead security representative for NATO 75 where the Waldorf was the host hotel for the Presidents of Romania and Türkiye.
• Security and Logistics Coordinator, Juggernaut Productions, United States, 04/01/23, 07/01/23, Managed day-to-day security advance and luggage logistical operations for the principle and 26 team members (Band, Dancers & principal support staff), this entailed a bus tour with 33 shows in 27 US cities and Canada. Conducted thorough risk assessments and implemented security measures to address potential threats and vulnerabilities. Coordinated with external security agencies, law enforcement, and other relevant parties to ensure comprehensive security coverage for clients. Oversaw the procurement and maintenance of, vehicles to support operational needs.
• Security Manager, The Tampa EDITION, Tampa, FL, 01/01/22, 02/01/23, Assist the Director of Security and the Director of Engineering with hotel pre-opening. Conducted brand immersion with new hires, supervise outside contractors and contribute to pre-post build budgets, recommendations for enhancement to the security department. Liaison to the Tampa Police & Fire Department, contributed to protocol & SOP’s post open with regards to crowd control, VIP engagement, pre arrival, internal moves. Attend daily & weekly events meetings. Attended pre and post con meetings. Specially selected to accommodate all VIP movement. Oversaw security & crowd control for 7 F&B outlets (3 Restaurants Lilac, Market, Azure) (4 Bars Lobby Bar, Market Bar, Pool Bar, Azure Bar) (2 Nightlife outlets Punch Room & Arts Club) created SOP for Nightlife security liaised with Tampa PD for additional officer support & offer placement during high volume days, oversaw Sports teams & entertainment VIP arrival, hotel movement & strategy in conjunction with sales, marketing & banquets. • Hotel Manager on Duty, Rosen Centre Hotel, Orlando, FL, 06/01/21, 12/01/21, Ensure the proper management and staffing of all departments. Responsible for the resolution of guest complaints, investigation of reported theft of guest, associate, or company property. Investigate guest and associate accident or injury report incidents. Patrol hotel or motel premises to maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure observance of applicable laws. Supervise the Security Department Operation. Complete incident reports to include accurate factual data relating to all activities that occurred during a respective shift.
• Complex Security Manager, Ritz-Carlton & JW Marriott Grande Lakes Resort, Orlando, FL, 01/01/19, 09/01/20, I am the Security Manager for the Grande Lakes Orlando Resort Complex. Which is a dual property (Ritz-Carlton & JW Marriott) comprised of 1598 guest rooms total, over 100,000 sq. ft. of convention space & break out space, an 18-hole golf course, an independent spa, 3 pools, an aqua course, a nature preserve with an all-terrain bike trail, Kayak, fly fishing & eco tours. In addition to 9 distinct private residences being constructed, I protect and safeguard all hotel guests, employees, their belongings and all hotel assets. I manage 3 supervisors & guard staff of 25 officers. I conduct patrols ensuring that all hotel properties are adequately secured at all times. Responsible for preparing or reviewing daily Incident reports, requisitions and other inter office memos and ensure that all allegations of the crime and other incidents are investigated and properly recorded. Report unusual events to the Director & Assistant Director of Safety & Security. Attend security council meetings.
• Convention Security Manager, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Miami Beach, 12/01/17, 01/01/19, The Convention Security Manager/Events in conjunction with the Vice President of Security & Safety provides leadership, direction, and management for planning and managing the security for Conventions and Events to ensure positive guest experience. The position is responsible for implementing, maintaining and updating security and guest service policies, programs and procedures designed to protect the physical assets of the property while providing an enjoyable, safe, and secure environment for all guests, tenants, employees, vendors and contractors. The Manager oversees compliance with relevant local, state, and federal laws, and ensures all activities performed within the reporting departments are in accordance with the company’s business objectives, budget guidelines and service standards.
• Loss Prevention Manager & MOD, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Atlanta, GA, 09/01/16, 12/01/17, Manage the Loss Prevention, customer service and employee management of a 1600 room hotel with 100,000 sq. feet of meeting space, 3 outlets which include Sear Steak House, High Velocity Sports Bar, and M-Store. Prepare weekly work schedules, monitor overtime. Liaise and supervise or meet with other executives or managers. Work with outside, contractors, security vendors, Law Enforcement, and other emergency service agencies. Chair the hotel Security Council, serve as an extension of the GM & executive team.
• Assistant Security Manager, Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, Oxon Hill, MD, 05/01/15, 09/01/16, Manage hotel security operations for the property containing 2000 guest rooms, 100 guest suite’s & 470,000 sq. feet Convention center. Manage and organize security coverage for Convention events with 7,500 to 13,000 attendees, to include the support of local Law Enforcement and EMS services. Conduct assessment of the convention center area to determine the proper amount of security required to secure the area requested by the client. Manage over 82 officers, 17 officers assigned to regular duty assignments and 65 officers assigned to convention center security coverage assignments for the clients who request security coverage. Responsible for payroll processing, accurate and precise input of time. Processing and printing of the payroll report for officer viewing. Responsible for scheduling, knowledge of the Shift Board online scheduling system. This system allows for accurate Analysis of hours worked, person conducting the work, overtime acquired and percentage of hours not covered. Responsible for training and development, assisting leadership in the management and development of new Assistant Managers. Responsible for accurate security billing of client security to include labor transfer to be applied to our profit and loss report.
• Vice President of East Coast Operations, Global Entertainment Security, Unknown, 02/01/11, 05/01/12, Oversee the day-to day operations for 14 east coast states, 5 regional managers, 100 subcontractor’s employees & 6 vendors. Manage organization operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with Global Entertainment Security Standards of Operation (SOP). Implements programs to ensure attainment of growth, profit with emphasis on employee satisfaction. Provides direction and structure for subcontractors &outside vendors units, provide mentoring and guidance to subordinates and other employees. Interpret policies, purposes, and goals of the organization for subordinates.

• Detective, New York City Police Department, New York, NY, 04/01/90, 05/01/11, Responsible for conducting prisoner debriefings, in an effort to gain intelligence, used to initiate criminal investigations or further ongoing investigations. Manage informants responsible for infiltrating terrorist targets and organization strongholds. Work jointly with Federal Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other Federal and State Agencies subsequent to the September 11th, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center in an effort to investigate leads indicating active terrorist plots and organizations within the City of New York. Perform security advances, with a direction for threat vulnerability. Conduct surveillance & counter surveillance. Instructor within the NYPD Narcotics Division Training Coordinator with NYPD Narcotics Division’ Expert in Court room testimony NYS Court System Intelligence Division team lead while conducting high visibility Hercules Operations with special attention to surface & railway transportation hubs, religious and various points of interest within my jurisdiction. Detective lead for major /special events within the city i.e.; Republican National Convention, various parades, United Nations General Assembly, major sporting events & concert events, Pope visit t0 Yankee Stadium, Dali Lama visit to Madison Square Garden. Member of the elite NYPD Intelligence Division Liaisons unit, this was a hand-picked unit of Detectives chosen to be emissary to visiting dignitaries, foreign heads of state & other assignments assigned by the Chief of the Intelligence Division and the Police Commissioner. Provided and coordinated high level dignitary protection for heads of state and other dignitaries during motorcade, confidential transportation, and normal business traveling within NYC. Conduct critical infrastructure threat assessments for public and private premises, prior to and during visits by high level dignitaries.
