- Learn about the animals in the Humane Society and work with them to improve their behavior and socialize them.
- Talk to people who are interested in adopting the animals about their characteristics and personalities.
- Attend trainings to learn more about animal behavior to improve my skills working with the animals and widen my abilities to work with more challenging animals, such as dogs who are shy, fearful or have poor leash manners.
- Interact with other volunteers and staff to learn about the animals, upcoming events, and needs around the building.
- Participated in ongoing professional development opportunities related to animal care best practices.
