Participated in a four-year research-intensive program focused on environmental science and sustainability. Conducted independent and collaborative experiments investigating renewable energy - biomass, CO₂ emissions, ocean acidification, and marine ecosystem health. Gained experience in experimental design, data analysis, scientific communication, and environmental advocacy while leading outreach initiatives and presenting findings to diverse audiences.
American Medical Women Association, Eleanor Roosevelt High School — Founder and President
Founded and led the school chapter of AMWA to advocate for women’s health and empower future medical professionals. Organized and coordinated the writing of 300+ heartfelt letters to breast cancer patients to provide emotional support and encouragement. Initiated a period supply drive benefiting HelpingWomenPeriod.org, successfully donating a year’s worth of incontinence products for three individuals. Led educational campaigns to raise awareness about UTIs, osteoporosis, and menopause among both male and female students, fostering inclusive and informed dialogue on women’s health.
Indian Student Association, Eleanor Roosevelt High School — Cofounder and President
Cofounded ISA to celebrate Indian culture and promote cross-cultural appreciation within the school and local community. Organized major cultural events including a Diwali function with 200+ attendees, a Garba celebration at Staybridge Suites with 400+ participants, and a Holi festival at a local park with over 200 attendees. Represented ISA at the school’s cultural fair by showcasing Indian heritage through food, music, and informational displays.
American Cancer Society, Eleanor Roosevelt High School — Vice President
Spearheaded the school’s involvement in Relay For Life, helping raise $530 to support cancer research and patient care. Led a team of 20 club members in participating in the Strides Against Breast Cancer walk to raise awareness and show community solidarity. Facilitated educational meetings focusing on different types of cancer, their impacts, and available treatments, deepening members’ understanding and compassion.
