  • Validate designs of sealing and weather strip system such as Molds and Seals as per various vehicle configurations and environments.
  • Perform various static, Nonlinear, and dynamic studies on the sealing and weather strip systems to determine different Durability characteristics of the system under different field conditions. Perform Static & Dynamic 2D and 3D CAE of various weather strips. Develop virtual testing methodology for glass and dynamic seals. Develop material models for various in-house and purchased elastomers (TPV and EPDM). Perform CLD, Insertion/extraction, 3D Single plane bending, 3D Multi plane bending load / height loss analysis.
  • Optimize designs of sealing and weather strip systems for mass and strength under the specified design constraints. Perform design validations using CAE simulation tools such as MSC Marc and Hypermesh.
  • Independently investigate possible solutions to previously unseen issues and generate detailed FEA reports. Discuss results and observations from CAE simulations with the testing departments, Product engineers and recommend changes to designs.
  • Work with various groups in the organization to develop and implement design information during the product development cycle to optimize the cost and shorten product development cycles.
  • Develop and maintain formalized documentation to assist in analysis and development of current and new products including root cause and correlation to test results.
  • Develop new CAE methods and standards. Keeping current developments in the field of Elastomer FEA. To improve FEA group productivity by implementing customized functions and utilizes in Mentat using Python language and MSC. Mentat menu language, and in MSC. MARC using specially developed user subroutines.
  • Working with Manufacturing Plants In USA, Europe and China to improve product manufacturing quality with the simulation support including correlation and design option recommendations. Working on Ansys Polyflow to accelerates design time for Extrusion Die's for manufacturing processes. Writing technical reports with the simulation results and findings.
  • Cost Efficiency: Led sealing system conversions that maintained durability while significantly reducing costs.
  • Production Optimization: Reduced cycle times for Tesla mold designs without compromising product integrity.
  • Method Development: Developed advanced CAE methods for weatherstrip systems, enabling faster validation cycles.
  • Conducted optimization studies utilizing linear optimization and multiple disciplinary optimization.
