I work closely with my direct report associates and other store associates to make sure daily tasks and great customer service is being met so we can make weekly, monthly and yearly sell goals and metrics.
I make sure my department is meeting store standards by walking my department when I first come into the building and looking for areas of improvement. This includes keeping all product front faced and priced correctly as well as keeping my floor and overheads organized to maintain a safe environment for associates and customers.
I maintain a positive environment in my department by treating my associates with respect, greeting them everyday and thanking them for their work before they leave. I listen to their comments and concerns and address them in a timely manner. I also have 1on1 sit downs with them every 6 months to see how they’ve improved since their last sit down. I also give out disciplinary action write ups as needed for bad behaviors.
I am knowledgeable In multiple departments including paint, garden, hardware and cashiering. So I’m well versed in Merchandising, Specialty and Operations.
I also love pushing Credit! This Quarter I’ve gotten 25 credit card sign ups as a floor supervisor.
