Veteran U.S. Army 1982-1993

I served in the U.S Army as a Food Specialist. After completing basic and advance training at Fort Dix, New Jersey,  I was transferred to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and assigned to the 1st of the 333rd Field Artillery Battery of the 8th Infantry Division. With this unit I did numerous training exercises and learned how to operate and transport a kitchen mobile trailer. I deployed with this Battery Unit to Baumholder, Germany where I enhance my food service skills and learned how to operate a two and a half ton truck. In 1985 I returned to the United States and completed my active duty time in Fort Riley, Kansas and was Honorably Discharge. When I returned to Detroit, MI., I joined the Army Reserves and remained in the Reserves until 1993.
