Mainly responsible for the implementation and following up of the completeness of entire crew change operational movements.
In charge with the monthly payroll for all NON-European crew members, closing/balancing of all crew members onboard accounts every month end. Also in charge in printing the Salary Cards ( Brightwell Cards) for all newly hired NON-EU crew members and main contact person with the Brightwell Support in case of fraud or disputes of crew members' salary card.
Responsible and ensuring completeness of all crew certificates according to Global HESS mandatory STCW Certification matrix and reports to compliance department in case of discrepancy.
Management of various cash floats and their daily control, foreign currencies, correct application of crew discount templates in fidelio, correct details of profiles in fidelio for manifest and Crew Management system ( Mistral).
In charge in crew cabin management of all crew members.
Dedicate 2-3 hours crew opening hours on a daily basis (except crew change day) for general inquiry of crew members about their contracts, flights, pay their onboard accounts, making registrations of their credit cards, reports crew cabin maintenance issues and overseeing the overall crew purser office daily operations.
Assists HR Director with the implementation of HR onboard processes, contract issues/inquiry, seniority of crew members, Time and Attendance and general HR related issues.
He oversees the crew movements in the Crew Management System ( Mistral) and reports to respective planners shoreside for any discrepancy and needful corrective measures ( eg. overlapping positions, wrong insertion of embarking/disembarking movements in MISTRAL).
Main contact person together with the Immigration Clearance Officer during ship's inward clearance with the required documentations for all crew members to be presented to Port/Immigration Authorities. I also check the completeness of all crew members onboard prior to ship's departure and reports to Bridge.
Preparation, coordination and post processing of occupational health and safety specifications according to the Italian flag state regulations and maintains up to date knowlegde with the GLOBAL HESS procedures .
Responsible for all professional workflows of his subordinates the Assistant Crew Purser and Crew Cashier and Administration.
Supports the assigned bridge officer ensuring the minimum safe manning is met and mustering for Deck/Engine personnel according to Italian Flag state requirements.
Participates in a weekly crew cabin checks and ensure proper communication with the shipboard management executives and department heads.
In charge in all communications with flight request, visa applications, coordination with the port agents for special cases like medical repatriation/ dismissal and family emergency.
Creates an overview related to smooth crew change movement in coordination with our colleagues from shoreside Port Operations and Travel department about ruote preparations and procedures, immigration requirements, crew shoreleave requirements and effectively communicating with the port agents for any additional procedures for crew members.
