  • Responsible for welcoming patient to sleep lab. Explain the procedure for testing. Perform mask fitting. Verify patient identity and physician order for testing. Apply electrodes according to proper montage, using the 10/20 system, and sensors according to AASM guidelines.
  • Proficient in following procedural protocols, such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP, and oxygen titration ect., to ensure collection of appropriate data.
  • Proficient in following procedure for "lights out" to establish and document baseline values, such as body position, oxygen saturation, respiratory and heart rates, ect.
  • Proficient in documentation of observations during, prior and after sleep study, and other significant events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of study.
  • Proficient in staging and scoring all sleep testing by applying professionally accepted guidelines utilizing American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards and guidelines.
  • Proficient in demonstrating adherence to cleaning and disinfection procedures for all equipment including portable monitoring devices.
    Proficient in demonstrating adherence to AASM scoring parameters for HSAT.
  • Proficient in use of Philip Respironics ALICE, G3 systems.
