Senior Counterintelligence Advisor

Responsible for the coordination of Counterintelligence (CI) activities and the development of CI policies in support of Department of Defense data, analytics, autonomy, and artificial intelligence (AI) research, development, and acquisition programs and projects. Principle advisor to the Chief Data and AI Officer concerning their 2000 personnel and over 20 research and development projects. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of ongoing Service, Defense Intelligence Agency, and CCMD operations and collections. Develops and supervises program protection, foreign and public disclosure, and threat reporting activities.

  • Developed first of its kind Department of Defense-wide CI requirement, through collaboration with inter-agency and Military Department senior executives, focused on protecting Defense data, analytics, autonomy, and AI programs and projects.
  • Developed comprehensive Program Protection plans, involving supply chain risk management, classification guides, strategic disclosure guidance, and CI support plans, for over 20 data, analytics, autonomy, and AI programs and projects.
  • Provided expert analysis of classified and unclassified reporting to identify critical vulnerabilities within the Defense Industry’s data, analytics, autonomy, and AI supply chain.

Counterintelligence Division Chief

Responsible for the global integration of specialized Counterintelligence (CI) activities for the Military Departments, Combatant Commands, and Combat Service Support Agencies. Principle advisor to the Joint Staff Deputy Director for CI and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) on all matters concerning CI activities within the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of ongoing Service, Defense Intelligence Agency, and CCMD operations and collections. Routinely briefed senior executive-level leaders to include the Chairman, Joint Staff Directors, and inter-agency partners on CI matters.

  • Developed a comprehensive reporting process, training regimen, and risk mitigation plan that leveraged sensitive inter-agency reporting and training teams to protect senior executive leaders in the Department of Defense.
  • Developed comprehensive CI campaign, in coordination with the Military Departments and Combatant Commands, to synchronize CI activities globally in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command objectives.
  • Developed Joint Staff inputs, through collaboration with the CCMDs, to the development of three Department of Defense CI policies that directly improved operational utilization of assigned CI personnel within the Combatant Commands.

Brigade Intelligence Officer

210th Field Artillery Brigade, U.S. Eighth Army

Advised senior leaders on all matters concerning the operational environment, threat intelligence, and targeting. Provided predictive, actionable intelligence for targeting, situational awareness, and battle damage assessment on North Korean artillery to the Counterfire Task Force Headquarters, U.S. Eighth Army, and the Third ROK Army. Led, trained, and developed a 22 person section incorporating intelligence, topography, electronic warfare, and fire support. Developed and supervised training for intelligence readiness, physical security, and personnel security programs. Conducted routine liaison with ROK Army artillery units in the defense of Seoul.

  • Developed and implemented detailed targeting prioritization plan against emerging North Korean threats that was tested during ULCHI FREEDOM GUARDIAN and led to the Counterfire Task Force and Third ROK Army being commended for rapid threat neutralization by the ROK president.
  • Supervised and managed intelligence and targeting activities during three national level exercises that saw a 32% improvement speed and 18% increase in total targets destroyed from the previous year.
  • Conducted detailed analysis of the North Korean artillery kill-chain enabling improved organizational protection efforts through maneuver, electronic warfare, and target prioritization.
