I retired from Peterbilt motors after 37-1/2 years where I worked in the maintenance department for 35 of those years. I started out as a specialist, then was promoted to a maintenance technician after completing an on site maintenance course and then finished out the last 6 years my maintenance career as a maintenance planner. I was also chief of the voluntary Peterbilt Plant Emergency Team for 30 years. I was an active E.M.T. for 30 years as well as a confined space technician and wrote and implemented the confined space program when it was enacted in the early 1990's and continued to update, monitor and train employees on the program until my retirement in 2021. I was also a trained volunteer firemen, hazmat technician, going aloft instructor and a forklift instructor during my career at Peterbilt motors
