Worked my way up from driver bringing clothes to multiple units and folding and sorting already washed and dried clothing bagging them and bringing them back to the pods with the correct inmate. From there worked my way up to the second position which was controlling all the dryers making sure everything was always operating on time smoothly and in the right time frame, last but not least ended up passing the very complicated test of a certified Washington State laundry technician from which I have the certificate to prove. I was then in the number one spot and was responsible for washing detergents figuring out which chemicals belong to which stains what clothes were worthy what clothes needed to be destroyed etc etc etc. Worked hard and fast giving myself a chance to make it to the highest pay in a small four person gig. Officer vesey was the overseer but most nights when the fire crew would come in I was in charge sometimes staying up 36 or 48 hours doing our job.
