Work History

Senior Engineering Technician / Lab Operations Coordinator / Safety Team Member

Powin
09.2022 - 04.2025
  • As a BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) technician, I was responsible for troubleshooting, upgrading, repairing, and testing high voltage battery stacks using a range of equipment and wearing proper PPE such as CAT2 & CAT4 gear. In this role, I also served on the safety team. I coordinated, prioritized, and set daily goals while running a morning stand-up meeting. I sent these goals out to the larger engineering team for coordination purposes. I also worked closely with the purchasing department to procure all the lab needs from tools, production parts, and rental equipment using NetSuite. I worked closely with the design team (including software, firmware, and hardware engineers) to test and implement changes for increased quality control. This work includes documentation as well as working with the field support team to fix issues they encounter at customer sites.

  • Each day, I coordinated, prioritized, and delegated clear goals to my employees. I also lead project team meetings and communicated daily to the broader team through reports that detailed current test fleet status for multiple projects. I set goals for performance and deadlines that aligned with 3D Systems' plans and visions. I organized workflow and ensured that my employees understood their duties. I monitored my employee's productivity, approved/edited their timecards, and provided constructive feedback and coaching as needed and during reviews. I also managed a Change Tryout process that provided design improvements, cost control, & synergy between engineering and manufacturing.
  • I was also a member of the Safety Committee where I attended weekly meetings with fellow committee members as well as onsite company EH&S personnel. I was responsible for performing quarterly safety audits of my designated zone, and making corrections as well as teaching fellow employees. I also wrote reports that apply to their work area. I was also responsible for fielding questions and concerns about safety protocols as well as installing safety and health equipment onsite, which included designing all of the safety signage around the site.
