I taught English in grade levels 1-3. My classrooms were unlike that in the states. There are approximately 50 students per class. We were responsible for cresting assessments and curriculum for our students. Because of our classroom sixes we had a diverse group of learners that required differentiation of instruction.
I was an educator in the UNWRA school in Beit Hanoon, teaching grade levels 3-5. Here I also worked with my colleagues to create curriculum and assessments to reach the needs of our students. Resources were scarce so we had different level learners in each class. As a the classroom teacher, I was able to differentiate my instruction to meet the need of the diverse learners in my class. Because there on average 50 students in the classroom, each students academic capabilities vary.
