High-school
Sports:
Varsity Softball- I played all 4 years of high school as a starter, practiced 4 times a week pre-season, and for 4 days/3 weeks in the summer, and played 2-3 times each week.
NYO- I played 5 years of recreational softball, practicing 2 times a week and playing as a starter 2-3 games a week with the Northside Youth Organization program.
Track & Field- I involved from 10-12 grade, practicing Monday-Friday and competed on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I competed in 3-4 events each meet and was a state qualifier.
Lacrosse - I helped start a lacrosse team and was apart of the first ever girls lacrosse team at my school. Practices 2x a week during the spring season, and played in a few games. Since it was new to the school, it was more like a JV club team, but still required commitment.
Leadership:
Chick-fil-A Leader Academy- Board member and vice president of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy team. We meet twice weekly, partnered with organizations such as Charity Water & Frontline Response, and host school-wide service days encouraging classmates and underclassmen to become good leaders, raise awareness about societies that are less fortunate, and set goals for leadership. Involved from 10-11 grade.
FCA leader- I helped start the first FCA at my school. We held one gathering each month before school. My role consisted of helping find and communicate with the guest speaker and worship leaders and provide/pick up chicken biscuits.
Spiritual Leader for Senior Mentoring- I lead mentors in prayer and devotions, and also helped those seniors with how to mentor, and created devotionals for mentors to share with their freshman mentees.
Bible Study Leader- 2 Mondays a month, we met an hour before school started + I lead the girls in bible based encouragement and send them with more to read through the week.
Senior Mentor- 2 hours a week, I had a set time during school hours to mentor a group of 3 freshman girls, give them advice, encourage, talk and make them feel comfortable as they adjust to high school, in addition to attending their sports games and communicating/checking up on the outside of school.
Homecoming Court- My senior year, I was nominated by my grade, and then by the whole high school and faculty to be represented on the homecoming court as a student who best represents the Whitefield Mission: passion for learning, for others ahead of self, and for the living in active Jesus
Clubs and Organizations:
National Art Honor Society Member- inducted into the National Art Honor Society, nominated as the NAHS Secretary at my school and a member of AP art for 2 years, I participated in art-based service projects to the community and recognized for achievement in service, character and visual arts.
National Honor Society- I was inducted into the National Honor Society in 10th grade, after an indepth application, and held a spot as a member from 10th-12th grade. In doing this I committed to leadership and was required to complete 30 hours of community service each year.
Literary Magazine- Met once a week during lunch to discuss to-dos and processes, collected work from peers and interviewed them about their experiences doing their art (poetry, 3d, drawing) and designed, along with the digital art team, the layout of the magazine itself, and published it to my schools community to purchase
LLS 10th grade- I helped my school team raise $10,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. This involved sending out weekly emails to my community to fundraise for this good cause.
Work/Volunteer
Babysitting- I frequently giving rides to kids in my neighborhood to and from school and various sports. Also, involved in helping out families by caring for their kids in babysitting. I had no set schedule, just randomly whenever parents reach out. 2022-current
Nursery- I served as as a nursery leader for Kindergarten aged kids, 2 Sundays a month. I helped prepare songs, snacks, crafts and lessons for kids and provided childcare while their parents were in the big service. 2023-current
Internship- I did an unpaid summer internship at a local marketing firm for the shops around Lenox, where I made gift guides, helped create advertisements and reach out to influencers to promote specific companies.
Habitat for Humanity- I served as an HH volunteer and helped build a house. It was an 8 hour work day that consisted of drywalling, caulking and, nailing/hammering walls into place. We learned many skills of construction and helped be apart of this amazing program.
Appalachia Service Trip- I spent a week in January of my freshman year in Kentucky serving a family by remodeling a part of their house: hallway and 4 bedrooms. We learned and implemented techniques of sanding, drywalling, and painting as we redid a section of an elderly man's home.
