Volunteering at my local VA hospital
The VA hospital in my area is where I get my healthcare. I volunteer at the Emergency Department where I work as an escort. I escort patients from the ER who need to get Xrays, MRIs, CT scan or to the Lab. Most o these veterans cannot walk. So I push them back and forth to their appointments. This helps free the nurses to attend to other issues. It is a very rewarding experience and I'm glad to be involved in helping our veterans.
