As a Platform Field Engineer at OnStar, I played a pivotal role in transforming and modernizing our cloud infrastructure by leading key migration efforts, optimizing microservices architecture to ensure the OnStar teams are able to ship quality software at a high velocity for GM customers.

Highlights

• Led the migration of applications from PCF and on-prem environments to Azure Cloud, ensuring minimal codebase changes. Responsibilities included Dockerizing services, updating dependencies, and creating Liquibase migrations from Oracle to Azure Postgres.
• Developed Azure-native microservices with Istio sidecar security, utilizing Quarkus and Apache Camel to address remote vehicle command challenges.
• Enhanced OnStar vehicle command microservices, integrating Azure Service Bus data streaming, CosmosDB, PostgreSQL, and Azure Blob Storage. Drove CI/CD processes through ArgoCD, Liquibase, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.
• Facilitated cloud resource provisioning, microservices refactoring, and IaC contributions, resulting in improved deployment efficiency.
• Created Backstage templates and custom plugin actions to onboard OnStar domain teams to Azure Cloud.
• Manually tested and deployed services within AKS clusters using Helm and onboarded GitHub Ops repositories with ArgoCD for deployment.

Software Engineer at Safety View:

I created Java Spring REST API services that effectively showcased the location and severity of road deterioration to local governments. By leveraging my expertise in developing scalable solutions, 1 implemented reliable data storage using NoSQL CosmosDB. Additionally, I successfully deployed a user management microservice to AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) with ADO (Azure DevOps), enabling seamless authentication and authorization for both our Ul and APls.

Highlights:

• Developed Java Spring REST API services for Rough Roads, providing local governments with accurate insights into road deterioration.
• Implemented scalable and reliable data storage solutions using NoSQL CosmosDB, ensuring efficient data management.
• Deployed a user management microservice to AKS with ADO, enabling secure authentication and authorization for Ul and API interactions.
