Advises, plans, develops, and designs District engineering/operational plans to optimize efficiencies in business objectives. Leverages operational knowledge of various facilities, their specific engineering processes, and working knowledge of operational systems. Collaborates with Managers to monitor adherence to plans, determine root cause of deficiencies, develop and assist management in implementation of action and support compliance and training efforts that they identify in the Districts.

Essential Functions:

• Acts as a change agent in the hub to influence and steer management decisions to ensure alignment and optimization of engineering and operational plans
• Identifies facility inefficiencies through root cause analysis by conducting facility visit observations and leveraging operational knowledge for solutions to deliver on-site assistance for improvements
• Advises and facilitates team knowledge and optimal application of dock operational systems (such as Vision, Sortation Systems – ISS & ISSC) and identifies and solves for corrective actions
• Creates Network Alignment Plans
• Determines Capacity Planning to ensure full use of facilities
• Prepares Volume Projections for short term/future/long range
• Oversees Hub Changes (spin offs, expansions, relocations)
• Forecasts labor and project manning needs for current/future
• Evaluates Hub/Linehaul cut times to determine if they are meeting requirements
• Develops Labor Standards to minimize labor hours as needed
• Produces monthly operational plans to determine required resources needed with special focus on Peak planning
• Responsible for goal/budget setting (productivity, service and cost) to turn cost inefficiencies into cost savings
• Provides material handling project recommendations, including financial analysis, to justify facility expansions
• Constructs contingency plans for potential abnormal events
• Acts as a subject-matter expert on all operational/system/technology processes and upgrades
• Trains management on operational processes and procedures

Primarily serviced the Mexican American student population by advocating for students' academic achievement and social well-being. This was accomplished by collaboratively working with TUSD schools and families by offering direct and auxiliary services such as tutoring, home visits, and advocacy for discipline issues. In this five-year period, provided direct service to five high school campuses. Essential functions:

• Organizing and facilitating quarterly parent information meetings (purpose: to inform the families of TUSD Latino students about the academic and social resources offered by individual schools, the school district, colleges/universities and community organizations)
• Organizing and facilitating after-school and weekend math tutoring
• Coordinating with campus administrators, counselors and teachers regarding the academic welfare and progress of my targeted students
• Tracking excessive absences of my targeted students and make home visits, meeting with parents and students
• Tracking discipline issues of my targeted students, informing them and their parents of their rights and responsibilities, and providing advocacy during suspension hearings
• Providing scholarship and financial aid info to students

Assisted junior high math instructor with class instruction and management. Essential functions:

• Substituting for any/all junior high instructors when absent

Responsible for the analysis, verification and validation of aerodynamic data and corresponding prediction tools. Essential functions:

• Developed and archived simple, user-friendly test procedures for 6-DOF simulation tool which resulted in consistent test methods and standards against which to compare data
• Provided feedback for simulation performance which led to product improvement, confident delivery and customer satisfaction
• Replicated historical simulations of ballistic rounds, ensuring consistency of baseline design performance and yielding confidence in tool's ability to simulate modified designs
• Administered sensitivity analysis which substantiated claims of performance improvement/degradation due to certain design alterations
• Validated first-order data against that of higher fidelity which resulted in qualification of first-order prediction tools as trusted alternatives to expensive, higher-fidelity methods
• Assisted in execution of wind tunnel test and corresponding data reduction that led to product fabrication

Supported the Chemistry & Materials Science Department (Coatings Capability). Essential functions:

• Responsible determining how to transfer key scientific data from obsolete computer formats to modern PC formats
• Assisted with the coatings process for telescopic lenses used in scientific exploration and analysis, as well as the maintenance of the coating machinery
