- Excavate and expose service main leaks, under Foreman’s supervision isolate damage and assist in repairing the damage
- Flush fire hydrants at dead ends and take water samples of the hydrants for chlorine residuals
- Assist in setting and removing5/8 to1½ size meters, meter boxes, and service lines
- Do monthly manual meter reads, test and replace bad E.R.T’s
- Collect water samples for laboratory analysis such as monthly Bac-T’s and G.A.C samples
- Adjust dosage levels of chlorine in our tanks to meet our water regulatory requirements
- Perform daily chlorine residual samples of our distribution system, take weekly quality water samples to test for chlorides in our wells
- Rotate set points of wells to keep chloride levels within state level requirements
- Operate/monitor SCADA and record production data, electric use, well run times, and monitor tank level trends
- Prepare and operate service trucks daily, loading of needed materials and equipment, clean equipment and trucks
- Once a month do full maintenance check of all trucks, including to make sure all paperwork such as registration and insurance is still valid
