Content

  • Production and Assembly Technicians will perform a wide range of skills including assembling, fit, and mounting sub-assemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection. Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verify the electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. A passion for problem-solving while working closely in a cohesive group environment is a must on this fast-growing team. Responsibilities Demonstrate the ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, controlled documentation, and processes such as layout drawings, mechanical drawings, assembly procedures/work instructions; schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists. Assemble, repair, inspection, reassembly, test, replace, refit, and adjust products as required. Diagnose problems and implement preventative measures to reduce the need for rework. Help troubleshoot and resolve issues for assemblies that fail to pass testing. Provides technical support and solutions to problems. Keep a clean, organized, and thoroughly maintained workspace. Ensure product quality and conformance to design requirements. Strong safety work ethic – recognizes the importance of properly handling hazardous materials, chemicals, tools, etc. Performs cycle counts. Inputs cycle counts into the MRP system. Generates and reviews count summaries for error, recounting as necessary. Recommends adjustments for approval. Verifies goods received by counting, weighing, and/or identifying goods against labels and receipt documentation. Performs the receiving transaction in the MRP system. Delivers goods received to the Receiving Inspection, semi-finished parts queue, or finished goods location as applicable. Performs inter-warehouse location transfers and conversions to new product codes (re-classing). Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience Strong attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills High school education or equivalent is required. Ability to read parts lists, equipment schematics, part breakdowns, and wiring diagrams
  • Technical/diagnostic ability along with analytical ability to diagnose problems above basics
  • Ability to read and analyze technical drawings.
