Summary

"Be kind to every kind," is what my mother told five-year-old me when I encountered my first injured animal. The little bird had gotten too wet and couldn't fly, so we spent the next few hours nursing the baby back to flight. Since then, I have approached life with her words and that moment in the back of my mind. Whether it be the workplace, school, relationships, or leading a team, I will always choose kindness and tedious care.
