As Captain of the Alonso Flag Football team it is my roll to make sure all the girls on my team are focused on positive outcomes and what we can do to channel our positive energy. Being named Captain opened my eyes to how much of a leader I truly am, and how I can use that trait to the best of my abilities to help and support my teammates.

I have played on my high school Flag Football team all four years of high school, and I have been a captain of this program all four years. I have gotten many opportunities while on this team, for example, our Flag Football team was the first ever team to play at the nike headquarters in Oregon. This game was streamed on live television and was a way to show case how big and important Flag Football is becoming. Also, many girls in our program including me, were able to showcase our flag football skills while being the first ever girls to play a flag football game during the halftime of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. Just a couple months ago I got the honor to make history and play in the first ever Under Armor All American Flag Football game, which exposed me to many different Flag Football players and what they are capable of.
