RAYA ISLAM

My name is Raya Islam and I am a high school student of the Junior class. I enjoy challenging myself with rigorous classwork, but also love to relax afterwards by reading, browsing through interesting topics, painting, etc. When I have extended spare time, I even like to pursue some of my more favorite and time-consuming hobbies like cultural dancing. Starting from about the age of seven when I was enrolled in a year-long traditional dance class, I have sporadically done solo and group dances whenever an opportunity presents itself. I have danced at a wedding, a graduation party, a national holiday cultural celebration, and many other large and small stages. My dancing is a great skill that I hold very dear to me and am very proud of because it lets me empower my ethnic community and hone a beautiful art.
