A great listener able to evolve my advice and service to those on the other end, whether that be a customer, coworker, or client of behavioral/caregiving aide. Every Supervisor I've worked under has complimented me on my patience and ability to never be affected by upsetting situations nor difficult customers/clients- I would say this is my strongest skill I may bring. I am dedicated and reliable, as well as capable of learning very quickly. I push myself to always be on top of my tasks, help those around me, as well as staying positive throughout every shift. With a drive to show up on time, make my hours, and support my family, I know I will be able to bring whatever help is needed.
I, while working my foodservice jobs, love to keep a job in child development or providing some sort of care to progress my resumé and experience in the field. I have worked with numerous groups! From toddlers, GenEd students from grades K-6, children on the spectrum (classroom, 1-on-1, in home, and office based), those of high maladaptive behaviors (RISE program), medically fragile high school students requiring more specialized care, as well as elderly care in home. These jobs included the typically assumed duties of aide, such as tutoring, meal prep, heavy lifting, potty training, cleaning, bathing elderly clients, maintaining a classroom, handling clients’ mental health, working with children on the spectrum/helping behavioral plans/elopement/minimizing maladaptive behaviors on the fly/taking part in singing/dancing/art activities, etc., organizing, taking care of their pets/homes, running errands, attending appointments, picking up prescriptions, even coordinating extracurricular fun/field trips/etc. I include these to show my dedication (working 60+ hours a week for about 6 years between food and childcare), that I’m able to multitask, and that I have strong reliability and mental regulation to stay on top of things. These jobs have a lot more to them, but with every experience you still go in loving to see those familiar faces!
My job breakdown is:
-In home Caregiver for double amputee, elderly client 2015-2018 (Left because client passed away)
-ACES Behavioral Services 2018-2020 (Left due to Covid)
-RVUSD at Whited Elementary (GenEd) 2021-2023 (Left to pursue my interest in Special Education)
-Inspire Behavioral Services 2023-2026 (Left due to our room's Teacher going on maternity leave, quitting, and a replacement teacher not being found yet. I was put into Substitute work, but found that was not for me. I LOVE the company, but preferred a stable position, so we parted ways on good terms!)
