Arabic teacher and department head with 18 years of experience seeking opportunities where I can apply this experience, technology, to support students’ growth as well as spread this beautiful language and culture.
I have been teaching Arabic as a foreign language for 18 years. Currently, I am the Arabic language department head for middle and high school at Brighter Horizons Academy, Dallas, Texas. I graduated with bachelors in Arabic language and literature in 2001. Throughout my career, I worked with all ages and levels of Arabic learners. To refine myself as an educator, I have been taking endless educational courses, certificates, and training, starting from classroom management, to ACTFL, LOTE, ECRIF and IB programs. It has been a successful journey full of accomplishments and joy. On a personal level, I love reading, writing, music, and I love learning new methods especially in education. And most of all, I love challenges. Finally, My goal is to finish my masters, design a curriculum that serves non-native speakers, and make learning Arabic easy and purposeful.
