Assigned to the El Paso Police Department Narcotics Division. Working directly with the 384th District Court, Honorable Judge Patrick Garcia, with the Adult Drug Court. I conduct home visits to clients that are in the Drug Court on probation status. The clients are on probation for multiple DWI and drug offenses. I conduct surveillance on wanted subjects and on clients who may be in violation of their probation. I meet and work with members of the El Paso County Adult Probation Office and with Judge Patrick Garcia to insure that clients assigned to the Drug Court are in compliance with the rules of their probation.

Auto Theft Task Force

I was assigned to the Auto Theft Task Force where the task force served as the authority task force for the entire county of El Paso. This assignment required me to work in plain clothes capacity where the task force conducted long hours of surveillance in the areas where the trends of vehicle theft and burglary occurred. I interacted and worked with other agencies in the El Paso area and assist them with their investigations in the identification of offenders, recover stolen vehicles and property and prosecution of criminal cases.


Central Regional Command Center/Metro Bicycle Unit

I was assigned to the Central Regional Commands Metro Bicycle Unit where I responded to patrol calls in the Downtown Urban District Area. I enforced laws and regulations, ensuring community and business safety and order. I was a lead instructor in training selected officers of the department to become police bicycle certified.


Pebble Hills Regional Command Patrol and Gang Task Force Officer

After graduating from the El Paso Police Department Police Academy on September 09,1995, I was assigned to the Pebble Hills Regional Command as a patrol officer. I was on probationary status for a year while being assigned to a Field Training Officer who guided me in performing my field work duties and conducting initial patrol investigations. I became proficient in report writing and learned to be detailed when completing reports and cases to be presented to the El Paso District Attorney's Office for prosecution. Throughout this time I became proficient when responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service,investigating fatal and non-fatal traffic accidents and major crime scenes.

I later was assigned to the Pebble Hills Regional Command Center's Gang Task Force where I responded and investigated gang related offenses. My assignment included both uniformed and plain-clothes enforcement. My duties included investigating gang offenses, offenders and completing and presenting cases to the El Paso District Attorneys office for prosecution.
