I am responsible for the customer site installation and commissioning of equipment, as well as training, retrofits, service and preventative maintenance. Projects varied in length between a few days to around 4 weeks. When not at customer locations, I was responsible for platform testing, customer support, and in-house support of other departments. I coordinated and planned for the upcoming projects to be installed.

I have to have a vast amount of knowledge about every machine that we build. Also, I must have the ability to learn and adapt to new designs in order to upgrade and improve current machines for our customers.

Duties

• Training customers and staff through with classroom settings and practical applications
• Install large can washers with hydraulic pump system, all mechanical system and controls
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components
• Travel domestically and internationally to plant locations to assist with rebuilds and installs
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical prints
• Installs and maintains industrial process equipment, mechanical system lighting, control, and PLC logic controls and control equipment
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
• Knowledge of the electronics, electrical-mechanical devices, transmission systems, interface units, AC/DC motors, wiring diagrams and schematics, computers and inspection and digital devices
• Installing multi-phase 120v/240v/480v equipment
• Properly completed work reports for each field visit.

As a corporal in the Marine Corps Reserves my MOS is an 1141 electrician. While severing in the Marines I have multiple leadership positions. As the only certified electrician at my current unit, I taught my marines how to interpret drawings, trouble shoot electrical problems, and install wiring. Skilled at team and organizational structure with an emphasis on leadership capabilities.

Duties

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations

I gained a significant amount of knowledge and experiences with Active Electric as a commercial electrician. I install custom wired, heavy machines including water pumps, transformers, circuit breakers, HVAC and generators. These custom wiring jobs take great attention to detail, and I take pride in my work and the final product.

I was a lighting tech at Master Lighting. I responded to service calls for high voltage equipment such as: 480v pole lights, contactor, timers, breakers, and wiring motors.
