- Collaborating with directors and choreographers to determine set, fly rail, and lighting design concepts for theatrical productions.
- Improvising lighting designs during live shows to enhance audience experience and performance enticement.
- Reviewing technical riders to ensure the crew is properly equipped, and the house can adequately supply everything that incoming shows may require.
- Leading role in load-ins and load-outs, including organizing large groups of people into small teams, teaching, and ensuring safety in all areas of the stage for all touring and rental shows.
