  • A planned 640-hour internship under the direct supervision of a Certified Child Life Specialist in a level 1 trauma adult hospital with a children's hospital within.
  • Strengthening skills of patient and family-centered care in stressful environments such as Surgery, Radiology, St. Jude Affiliate Clinic, ED, and PEDS/PICU.
  • Reducing stress and anxiety for pediatric patients and their families by providing preparation, distraction, medical play, and promoting developmentally appropriate activities.
