
I have been a Infusion Nurse with OCH for over a year and look forward to growing my skills and knowledge within the company and seek to move into the RN supervisor role in Mobile, Alabama
Responsible for providing care for patients in accordance with the plan of treatment, MD orders, and option care health policies.
Work and communicate efficiently with other disciplines to ensure in highest level of patient satisfaction as well as to avoid delays in care.
Physically assess and monitor patients during treatments and notify provider if any significant changes are observed, as well as completing documentation required by OCH.
· Insert and monitor peripherally inserted central catheter lines (PICC), mid-line catheters, and peripheral intravenous (PIV) catheters.
· Act as a resource and consultant for staff regarding IV therapy assessment, products, and procedures.
· Insert PICC lines with the use of ultrasound/EKG technology as well as determine placement via Xray.
· Assist staff by monitoring PICC lines/CVL, troubleshoot and assess the need to declot lines as well as performing dressing changes when needed.
· Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor and record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
· Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
· Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Provide direct nursing care that is in accordance with all policies, procedures, and protocols within the healthcare system.
