As a Recreation Assistant at the REC of Grapevine I help assist patrons in their memberships, inquiries, gove tours, and assist in any way possible. I also help run the child watch program and watch children while their parents workout and get a break.
As a lifeguard I am constantly having to be vigilent and watch the waters and be a protective and secure leader in the pool and lakefront areas. My job includes: making sure the pool is ready for guests, watching for guest safety, and most importantly watching the pool water at all times to make sure everyone is following the rules, being safe, and having fun!
During the summers, I spend my time as a Junior Counselor and Lifeguard at Frontier Camp. I get to teach kids about Jesus, lead cabin devotions, play games with them, teach them about camping, and lead outdoor activities.
As a pet-sitter, people entrust their pets with me while they are out of town. I typically watch over the home, feed the pets, walk them, and take care of their daily needs that the owners request that I do. This come with great responsibilty and care.
I have had the oppportunity to run a small business of making balloon arches for people who need them! On a variety of cases I have done these arches for free and as a service and ministry to people who need to be loved and cared for. For example, I made a balloon arch for an adoption reception of 3 medically fragile young boys who were being adopted by a single mom. It was my absoloute joy and pleasure to make a beautiful decoration for their reception as a service to them. I enjoy using my artistic skill to serve others.
As a babysitter I care for children while their parents are gone. I priotitize being safe and having fun and making sure the kids are in bed or at the places they need to be at when the parents ask.
At my Church, Countryside Bible Church I serve in a variety of roles. I am a volunteer in the church nursery and AWANA serving the children and their families, I help lead music on our youth group worship team, and I volunteer at women's ministry events serving in a variety of roles help serve the women of the church! I get to help lead devotional groups with the kids, teach them memory verses, help lead music, and play games with them!
