Rebecca Boyd Driver

• From my last year of working as a Program Specialist to the present have been creating mixed media creations here in New York

• Exhibit: Art on the Ave, 4791 Broadway, Manhattan

My creations are born from my experience and understanding of African American history, being a Black woman, being raised in New York City and Los Angeles, and the work of previous artists including: Romare Bearden, Kerry James Marshall, Faith Ringgold, Jacob Lawrence, Kara Walkerand so many others

• Throughout my teaching career I always included the options for artistic expression be it a visual representation or poem
• I have been creating my own expressions since 2021 and have had 2 exhibits in Manhattan

• Led professional development workshops for teaching staff.
• Developed engaging lesson plans for diverse student needs.
• Provided assertive community-based rehabilitation and case management services to high-risk mentally ill patients.
• Performed assessments to determine individual limitations and strengths.
• Provided individualized instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Collaborated with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate various subject areas into a cohesive unit of study.
