Rebecca Buchan

Supervises large team of staff interpreters across the nation; Monitors market conditions and competitor activities; Reviews internal reports for potential risk/cost savings; Negotiates agreements with external contractors; Develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance to organization standards; Assesses employee and contractor performance; Serves as spokesperson at industry events; Develops and provides interpreter and client trainings.

Creates and presents interpreter training classes and workshops on the international, national and state levels; Develops and launches interpreter mentoring programs, conducts formal and informal interpreter mentoring; Teaches (adjunct) for 4 year Interpreter Training Programs at local universities.

Provides ASL to English interpreting services in local, state, national and international arenas; Navigates complex interpreting situations with diplomacy and professionalism; Fosters positive relationships among clients, consumers and team interpreters
