Started as seasonal employee as a cashier and was top performer in metrics such as credit cards and reward programs. Then moved to Customer Service and Money Counter which included audits, pulling money from registers, and counting/ imputing deposit information into the computer. Promoted to Price/Sign coordinator which included price changes, sales ads putting signs up, and making signs for clearance from scratch. After being promoted to department Supervisor was in charge of multiple departments keeping them organized and clean, responsible for inventory control on items within the department, resetting the aisle for seasonal merchandise and new product lines, was also responsible for hard tagging and pricing apparel and preforming clearance markdown. Also had to check baby food for expiration dates and mark food down when needed. I loved merchandising and what I did. One of my favorite things was hosting events for the kids. I grew to know a lot of them and parents too. There was no better feeling than helping kids, parents, anyone find the perfect toy and seeing them light up when they came into our store.
