As a STEM peer mentor, I provide tutorial and peer mentoring assistance to any students enrolled in STEM courses. Responsibilities include individual or small group tutoring and mentoring, technology support, designing and implementing outreach workshops, and volunteering for STEM program events.
Worked with campus faculty and staff at Kapiolani Community College to increase the visibility of student learning opportunities that advance sustainability on campus. Developed systems to measure and track the impact of sustainability initiatives.
As a peer educator, I enhance prevention education and outreach through creative social media content and engaging in campus-wide educational events. I utilized my gained knowledge and skills to foster a safe and inclusive community for LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and staff to promote social justice in the University of Hawaii System.
