Marketing Manager

• Generate social media content to engage with customers
• Create advertising campaigns to attract new clientele and promote farm events and products
• Address customer questions and concerns via social media, email and phone communications
• Organize all aspects of public events
• Implemented and maintain computer point of sale system
• Source and curate merchandise for sale in the farm retail store

Production Assistant

The farm hosts an annual Plant Sale (taking place over 2 to 3 days) in May with over 8,000 perennial plants sold online with pickup order fulfillment in the following week.

• Select plant varieties to be grown for sale and determine quantities to be grown
• Transplant and label all plants
• Create and manage online store on Square platform
• Research and write catalog descriptions of all products sold in store (plant growing needs, attributes, etc)
• Compile and organize orders for fulfillment
• Manage order processing and pickup crew
• Interface with customers to resolve issues with ordering or order satisfaction

• Collected soil and water samples
• Conducted pH and EC (Electrical Conductivity, results show level of ions present in soil, which indicates degrees of soil salinity) tests on samples

As a Greenhouse Grower, I was responsible for approximately 1 acre of plants under greenhouse cover.

• Provided irrigation, fertilization and chemical controls including growth regulators and pathogen control agents using automated boom irrigation systems and mechanical sprayers.
• Operated Priva computer system to control greenhouse environment.
• Interfaced with management concerning all aspects of crop production in my section
• Managed daily activities of my section's Assistant Grower, including assigning tasks, training and supervising.
• Collected plant performance data and generated graphs to track progress

• Provided irrigation and fertilization to greenhouse plants in my section
• Applied chemical agents to control pathogens
• Operated Dosatron inline fertilizer injection system
• Worked with greenhouse production team to pull orders, transplant seedling, plugs and bulbs, operated mechanized pot filling system, and install irrigation systems
