In my day to day roll in Same Day Surgery, I assist with getting patients ready for surgery and care for them afterwards, this includes, putting patients weight in the computer chart, shaving the area of procedure if needed, putting scs's on their legs to provent blood clots.
In the PACU area, I do phone calls getting consult rooms for doctors, getting ice packs and warm blankets for patients, & stocking each bay for the nurses.
In post op area I assist with getting patients vitals,food/drinks, & keeping them comfortable until they can go home. at the end up the day I set of preop for the next day, and place a food order to stock our fridge the next day
Working in ICU/TU, my job was to get vitals on patients every 4 hours, walk the patients to the bathroom, and assist with their nightly routines.
