• Oversight of the operations of the Safety, Compliance and Risk Management teams which monitors, evaluates, and facilitates the compliance of a family of companies that provides crane, rigging and heavy haul services in Florida and surrounding states. Maintains and reviews policies and procedures, conducts audits and inspections of transportation safety management processes, and manages safety and compliance software systems primarily focused on both Federal and State DOT regulations. Develop and provide training and professional development for management and CMV operators. Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and develop strategies and materials to ensure companywide compliance. Manage all auto liability claims and provide additional support to the safety and compliance teams in GL and Work Comp claims management. Monitor and provide reporting to Senior Management on key safety and compliance performance indicators such as CSA, claims cost and compliance audit results.

• Facilitated rollout of EHS incident and audit management software and implementation.

• Develop, implement and manage safety programs to maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations for an interstate HazMat, tank truck carrier. Report to the V.P. of HR and Safety with oversight of field safety personnel and corporate safety administration team with workforce companywide of 500+ employees and independent contractors. Responsible for management of all workers compensation, truck liability and general liability claims. Coordinate with corporate training to evaluate new hire training and orientation programs ensuring compliance with regulations and company safety standards. Create internal, company-wide safety metrics and coordinate with all terminals and regions to develop specific, action-oriented safety plans to achieve metric goals. Monitor all safety performance indicators (company metrics, CSA, claims costs, etc).
• Reduced OSHA recordable incidents by 24% from 2018 to 2019, reduced 40% from 2018 to 2020. Reduced OSHA TRIR by 28% (1.4 points) from 2018 to 2020.
• Achieved a 50% reduction in DOT recordable accidents in 2019 and maintained into 2020 & 2021. Reduced preventable accident rate by 43% (.19 points) from 2018 to 2020.

• Assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate medical services to meet an individual’s comprehensive health care needs as a result of personal injury. Coordinate medical treatment within the attorney approved healthcare network, review medical bills and records to assess accuracy, establish a medical treatment plan and personal injury case. Underwrite case financing to maintain integrity of case and preserve company profitability.

• Lead property damage team through investigation, negotiation and settlement of property damage claims. Manage day to day customer interactions of property damage team within a call center environment. Point of escalation for customer dispute resolution. Run daily statistical reporting of team members to manage customer and stakeholder satisfaction and to drive overall quality. Manage performance of team through daily interaction, feedback and development. Develop and implement recommendations on claims processes and procedures and develop improvement initiatives.
