I started playing softball when I was 7 years old and realized immediately I needed the game in my life forever. When I found out that you can get a scholarship and play in college it made me so excited because even though I had no clue how to get there (no one in my immediate family had attended college) I had a chance to get a degree and keep playing. After being a district champion and all-conference catcher at Sandalwood High School I accepted my first scholarship to Florida State College at Jacksonville. For my second year I transferred to Broward College in Davie, Florida. I wanted to finish my degree at Albany State University but after transferring my credits, I realized I would have to redo most of my associates degree and decided to decline my scholarship. It was one of the hardest decisions I ever made. But, as fate would have it, I ended up the Head Varsity Coach of my alma mater not even 6 months later. Accepting that coaching job was the greatest decision of my life. It introduced me to a side of the game that I never thought I could love or really even knew existed. During my time coaching at Sandalwood, I had the honor of helping some of my players get to college and man was that a great feeling! I would love to do that for as many girls as I can while helping you grow your program. I know I am the person that can get your team where they need to be because I truly care about this sport and have first hand knowledge/experience to bridge any gaps along the way.
